Top 7 Reasons Why I Enjoy Being A Girl

This tweet* speaks the truth about me enjoying being a girl so much. If there is Christia's World theme song which will play once the world becomes mine, it should be Flower Drum Song's I Enjoy Being a Girl. So I think it is high time that I show the reasons why I enjoy having two X chromosomes.

Shameless Plug: Why Didn't I Watch a Game in Wrigley Field?!

I am feeling a tad bit sentimental so if you are not into that type of thing, I suggest you just visit my other posts here and here.
Anyway, I just watched an episode of Mike and Molly and it reminded me of my 2-month long trip in Illinois back in 2009.
Silver bean-type thing!
So what was one thing that I did NOT do in Chicago that I wish I did? Get me some Chicago Cubs tickets and watch a game at Wrigley Field!

Serenitea: Get Your Milk Tea On!

I was never really fond of those fancy coffee places that sell coffee with whipped cream. For my untrained tongue, their Php150 coffee tastes the same as Coco Martin's Nestle 3-in-1 Brown and Creamy coffee. Maybe the fancy-schmancy one tastes a bit sweeter, however the bottom line taste for me is the same.
YAAMMEE!
But for some reason, I really, really, really like milk tea. One of my go-to milk tea spots is Serenitea.

The Adventures of Spa Girl: #6 Nuat Thai

It has been a while since Deep Tissue Massage boy and I had a couples massage, what with all the moving and the holiday season. Last week, we tried Nuat Thai in Greenhills.
I tried different angles but the sleeping guy was all in them. Couldn't get a shot without him in the frame.
We were supposed to try Happy Family Spa in Greenhills but they were full and we did not want to wait an hour for a massage, what with my negative EQ.

Finally Falling In Love with Rice Cakes

Since I was a little girl, I never liked rice cakes. I don't like their texture, the taste and just the overall experience of eating a rice cake. Until last New Year's eve when my lovely aunt introduced me to Betty's Rice Cake made with duman*.
Oh Betty, no wonder I liked you better than Veronica.

*I am not sure what the English translation of duman is. All I know is that it is sweet green rice that comes in dry and wet form. You can buy it in any wet market in Pampanga for 15 pesos a cup. I like the dry one better. More details I found here.

Didi's Pizza

If there is one comfort food that is truly Kapampangan for me, except for Mila's sisig (or Lucing's, I know die-hard Lucingers out there will demand that Lucing's be mentioned as well), is the one and only Didi's Pizza.
The dilapidated, has-seen-better-days, with hot sauce smears, Didi's menu

It's More Fun In the Philippines!

Today, the Philippine Department of Tourism launched its new brand campaign, causing the Philippine Twitter world to go a-flutter.
#It'sMoreFunInThePhilippines went viral immediately, trending worldwide. Even as I am writing this now, it is still trending in the Philippines.

FIRST BIRTHDAY: CHOOSING TO HELP CDO

In a world where this and this happens on a regular basis, it is easy to end up cynical and generalize that most people are heartless worms with opposable thumbs. However, a work colleague of mine and a dear friend has decided, together with her husband, to celebrate the 1st birthday of their child in a very charitable and meaningful way.

By doing a fund raising effort for the CDO/ Iligan victims.

My 7 New Year Resolutions for 2012

Hello 2012! :) It's New Year resolution time! For me, it's a time when I feel so optimistic, so energized that I can make sweeping declarations of what I will be doing starting this year. Hmm, come to think of it, since I am making this list late, these are my sweeping declarations of what I will be doing starting next week. I guess that is something I can work on, being on time. LOL

But I am getting ahead of my own list. Here are my fearless new year's resolution list for this year.
I promise I will keep mine realistic (photo from bengallagher.com)
