Take 2! Pan de Amerikana's Upside Down Resto

Another breakfast place that opens as early as 6 am (they close at 7 pm) is Pan de Amerikana in Katipunan. If their Marikina branch boasts of being the first Chess Themed resto, this one on the other hand claims to be the the first and only upside down restaurant in South East Asia.
This really is a piano on the ceiling. I did not just rotate the picture.

The place also serves oh so cheap breakfast at Php 55. Their Green salad was at a cheap Php 40 and their pumpkin soup sells only for Php 35. One large pandesal (slightly sweet, crispy on the outside, fluffy in the inside bread) is at Php 12 each.

It is a nice place to get a quick breakfast after work (or before work for you normal human beings out there that work the actual 8am to 5 pm shift) and get a chance to ogle at furniture hanging from the ceiling.

Edit: Get ready to get a crick on your neck if you eat here because you will keep on looking at the hanging furniture on top of you. Bring BENGAY juuuust in case. ;-)

Recap
Needs improvement: The food is not that crazy yummy except for the pumpkin soup which we love.
What we like: Pumpkin soup and the design of the place.
Verdict: A great place to start or end your day, whichever timezone you operate on. Me, I am the forever owl of the night even if I no longer work on this shift.

How to contact them and how to get there?
They currently have 4 branches:
- 92 Ordonez St Concepcion Dos MARIKINA (02) 475-2398
- 118 KATIPUNAN Avenue White Plains (02) 421-1966
- Unit 4 Madison Bldg GREENHILLS San Juan (02) 384-6741
- MAKATI Avenue corner Constellation St

I used to be a habitue of Pan de Amerikana's original branch and you are correct that their foods aren't fantastic. If I may say, it's the ambiance that makes one come back to the place regularly. Plus the prices, too.

I I were to dine in that restaurant, I think I will be distracted with those upside down furniture. Don't they look like they're falling towards you?

Yep! Visit them at Katipunan. Can't miss their resto, it's already the Katipunan part near White Plains, after the Santolan (street going to Cubao) intersection.

It is way past the Banapple/ Conti's area and if you are facing White plains, it is on the right side.
